Daniel Paniccia, Rye Town GOP Chairman sent a written response to the complaints. Complaint: Mr. Morabito complained that a Republican Party flyer stating that the 2007 New York State ComptrollerТs report is a Уdevastating indictment of the corrupt hiring and contracting practices of the Morabito-controlled Rye Town boardФ is unfair as the report does not use the word Уcorrupt.Ф Finding: UNFAIR Nowhere did the State ComptrollerТs report use the word УcorruptФ and no evidence of corruption was shown. Complaint: Mr. Morabito cited an Opinion letter of Mr. Carvin to the Westmore News where Mr. Carvin states Уeveryone knows that in order to do business with the Town of Rye you need to be prepared to contribute to the Сjobs for the boysТ machine.Ф Finding: UNFAIR No proof was provided to verify this claim.
